Tutorial: How to Jump-start Your Car

Nothing is more irritating than going to crank your car only to find out your battery is dead. Don't let a dead battery get the best of you. My step by step guide will get you on the road in no time. Click here to follow the video tutorial or follow the next steps.

Steps:
  1. Pick up a pair of jumper cables at the nearest auto part store.They range from around $20.00 and up. You would want to invest in a decent pair of jumper cables for future use.
  2. Get a working car. Park the working car next to the non working car.
  3. Open both car hoods. Make sure both engines are turned off. Adjust the positions of the cars until the jumper cable ends can reach both batteries.
  4. Attach the red end of the jumper cable to the (+)positive terminal on the non working battery.
  5. Attach the other red end to the working cars battery.
  6. Attach the black end of the jumper cable to the (-) negative terminal on the non working battery. Attach the black end of the jumper cable to the (-) negative terminal on the working battery.
  7. Disconnect jumper cables in reverse order that they were put on. Try to start the non working car.When it starts leave it crunk for about 10 to 15 minutes so it can recharge.
